For you - Feferi x fem!reader (pet/slavestuck)

"Your name is Feferi?" you repeated, making the little seadweller nod nervously. What on earth was a seadwelling troll doing out here in the city? It was at least an hour away from the ocean at least. Sea dwellers tended to be considered 'wild', they were hardly owned by any humans and stayed deep in the ocean away from prying eyes.

However when people went out fishing they'd sometimes get caught on hooks or nets, dragged in and sold on land to either zoos or the rich, considering they were pretty rare. Once taking a good look at the poor thing you were beyond shocked to see the fuchsia blood drip from her forehead.

If you were correct then only three trolls in the whole world had this blood, what on earth was one of them doing outside your apartment? Her bright eyes were wide with fear and her hands shook awfully hard. You let out a small sigh and took her trembling hands in your larger ones, making her wimper

"you seem hungry, would you like something to eat? I can make you something you like" you offered her, a soothing tone to your voice. Feferi's body seemed to forget it was scared for a moment to look up at you hopefully

"I take that as a yes" you said, giggling softly as you lead the tiny troll through the apartment and into the small kitchen. You helped her sit on the barstool which was already taller than her anyway and began to search for something to eat. Could you even give trolls human food? well if she lived in the ocean surely she ate fish or something...As you routed through your freezer you heard Feferi gasp softly when you placed a hand on a packet of fish fingers.

"Hm? you want this?" You said, holding up the box. Feferi nodded eagerly, nearly falling off the stool


"yes! ...I mean yes please" she said quickly, giving you a little smile. It seemed she'd caught on rather quickly that you meant no harm which was great. You switched the oven on and placed the food inside, going back to sit next to the small troll. She visibly tensed when you did so but you expected that. Wanting her to feel comfortable you reached out to brush a bit of her long hair from her eyes

"my my, your hair is so pretty isnt it?" you murmured, making the girl giggle softly

"reely? my mum tells me that too!" she exclaimed, throwing her arms up in excitement but flinching back in pain. Her arms were covered in cuts and bruises and you were surprised she was bawling her eyes out. The poor thing. You took her arm gently in your hand and took a closer look

"dont' worry Feferi, i'll sort this all out after you've eaten okay?" you said, making her nod happily, even if there was tears brimming in her eyes. You showered her in kind words and played with her hair until the food was done. You made a sandwich out of the fish fingers and gave it to the little seadweller who happily dug in to the food. How long had she gone without eating?

You didn't press on the matter as she ate though, she seemed so content just eating and babbling on about the coral reef where she used to live. She reeled off (hehe fish pun) so many names of fish you'd lost count by the time she'd finished eating. With a grin you lifted her up off of the stool and took her to the bathroom to wash her injuries.

"why are we in here?" she asked curiously, peeking into the tub.

"you need a bath missy" you said, pulling the the tap and watching the warm water gush out. Feferi gasped, running her hands under the water and grinning from ear to ear. It wasn't very hot so you let her play and splash the water about until it was full. After undressing her you placed her inside the bathtub and began to wash her injured body.

She squirmed a little, crying when you washed out her gills and fins that were smeared with blood and dirt but she managed to keep pretty happy throughout. While you were cleaning her she spoke of her family. How her mother used to be an empress of Alternia and one day she should've taken the throne. You listened in awe as you cleaned her, she was literally a princess??

You had a sea princess troll in your bathroom  and she was what, only 6 years old? Apparently she had an older sister too, Meenah she was called. Honestly it was rather a lot to take in but you couldn't show discomfort or shock around her, god knows what she'd been through ever since she was on land.

Once finishing washing her you drained the bath, earning a pout from Feferi since she was busy playing in it. You lifted her up and lead her to your bedroom, placing her on the soft mattress. She yawned as you did so, rubbing her yellow tinted eyes. Gosh she was just so adorable! You crouched down to get the first aid kit from under your bed and took out the bandages and sanitary wipes. Thankfully the wounds weren't too severe so you could tend to them right in your home, taking Feferi to hospital could prove to be difficult.

She yelped in pain when you wiped her cuts down  and applied bandages where it was needed. She fidgeted about too, quite a lot actually. You ended up holding her in your lap and petting her hair whilst you worked to soothe her. It took a good twenty minutes but by the end of it she was perfectly clean and bandaged up.

You sighed in relief, smiling when she got down from the bed to look at the sweater you'd given her. It was a pastel blue with little fish imprinted all over. She snuggled into the soft material, her fins fluttering in contentment and looking back at you with a little smile on her face. You motioned for her to come over to you so you could lift her onto the bed

"its two in the morning Feferi, do you want to sleep in here or in the spare room?" you asked, watching as she played with the hem of the sweater shyly

"I wanna stay with you..." she murmured, looking up at you hopefully. You could you say no that face? A few minutes passed and you were both laid in bed, Feferi wrapped around your arm. You both spoke in hushed voices for a while, making her giggle every now and then. The seadweller rested her head on your shoulder, looking up at you

"I miss my mum and sister..." she trailed off sadly, the tears welling in her eyes. You rolled on to your side and wrapped your arms around the small troll, taking her by surprise

"I promise you we'll find them Feferi, but you need to wait until your wounds are all gone first alright? You can stay here for as long as you want.." you murmured sleepily, grinning when she nodded and cuddled closer to you

"thank you (name), goodnight"

"annnnnd we're done!" you exclaimed, punching one fist into the air and falling back onto the bed. You could hear the excited pitter patter of feet run into the bedroom, jumping onto the bed.

"Mama! its so pretty outside! you can see sun set on this side of the beach and EEEE!!" she yelled, unable to contain her excitement. You laughed at her enthusiasm, swooping her off her feet and throwing her into the air, making her squeal in delight

"what are we gonna do with all this energy hm?" you pondered aloud. Feferi giggled, pushing her thick rimmed glasses up the bridge of her nose.

"can we go out? pleasepleasepleaseplease??" she begged, practically bouncing up and down. You couldn't suppress the smile on your face, nodding softly

"alright if you insist, go get your swimsuit on and a head band...a lot of them" you told her. Feferi ran from the room in a flash and returned wearing her pink swimsuit and a hairbush and hair bands. You got to work plaiting the insane about of curly hair and even then it still brushed the floor. She gave a twirl and grabbed your hand, practically dragging you from the house and onto the sandy beach.

You watched as she bounded towards the water, jumping straight in with you observing from the shore.

It had been around 6 months since Feferi had began living with you. From the start she was just so bubbly and upbeat despite the fact that she hadn't seen her family in such a long time. The first week you'd begun living together you went out and basic things for her room which used to be the spare room. Some bedding, toys and children's jewelry to replace the once she lost when she was taken from her family.

You soon also found out that she was short sighted so you got her eyes checked out which took ages since at first the company refused to check a trolls eyes. However you kicked off in the middle of the store and they gave in, meaning Feferi had some nice shiny fuchsia glasses. You bought her some goggles too but you hardly used them until the last month.

You could tell the seadweller missed her family greatly, she just wanted to be by the ocean. So with the money you had you both packed your things and managed to move into a small beach hut on the abandoned side of the coast. It was so quiet it was rare that anyone came close to where the two of you were. Sometimes it could be a pain to get from place to place but it was perfect for Feferi.

Instead of a plain white room you'd both painted her bedroom a sea blue color, with a yellow seabed and decorated with multicolored shells, seaweed and cuttlefish. Overall it had taken a month to get everything in place from your old apartment but finally today you'd sorted it all out.

This made you happy of course, but you were quite worried. What would happen when Feferi found her family, would she leave you? what if you never saw her again? those thoughts actually brought tears to your eyes sometimes since you considered the sweet little troll to be your daughter. Though that could wait, you were both content and you intended to stay that way.

You were pulled from your  thoughts when you felt a splash of cold water drench you. You gasped loudly, looking over to the very guilty faces Feferi who was trying hard not to laugh.

"oh no you don't young lady" you said, pulling your legging above your knees and wading into the water. Feferi shrieked as you splashed her with water, ending up in a no mercy water fight. You were both soaking by the end of it, your shiny here now dripping wet with the salty water. Damn you're gonna have to have another shower after this. You were so focused on your hair you didn't realize feferi swimming up behind you and grabbing your wrist, dragging you completely underwater. You yelled in shock, scrunching your eyes shut before reappearing at the surface to breathe. Feferi laughed loudly

"wait noooo!!!" she yelled as you dove after her, lifting her from the water to tickle her relentlessly. Her laughs and yells filled the silent air until you eventually tired out, sitting on the sandy back beside your little troll daughter. You were about to speak to her again when you thought you heard her speak before you

"...Cod dammit!" You looked at Feferi in surprise

"Feferi you know I don't like it when people curse" you scolded but she looked confused

"mama that wasn't me..." she trailed off, the two of you slowly turning to the side to see who was on the beach. You both audibly gasped.

A troll, a seadweller dragged itself up the shore and landed in a heap on the sand. They were breathing heavily and you could see they were intense pain. They'd got tangled in one of the fishing nets but somehow it wrapped round their neck, making it obvious that they couldn't breathe too well.

"Feferi go inside and get the kit from under the bed" you told her quickly and she was off without a thought. You stood up and began to slowly make your way over to the troll, unsure on how they would react.

Upon getting a better look you realized the seadweller was a female, with long curly hair cascading all over the sand, some of it still in the water it was so long. Her clothes were battered and ripped in places and her horns were massive! long outward curved ones...wait.

You stopped as another troll shot out from the water and was instantly at the others side. This one was younger, with short scraggy hair and two twin braids. She had the same curved horns and fuchsia colored clothing- oh god. The younger one began to tug relentlessly at the net, making the elder groan in pain

"why on all the days we went out did I leave my stupid trident in my hive?!" the younger one hissed out, biting furiously at the rope but it didn't help. The eldest seemed too weak to try help but she spoke quietly

"clam down....just try untangling the bottom.." she wheezed out, giving the younger a smile. However it dropped when her eyes landed on you. You simply stared back, both of you holding expressions of shock but she was the first to react

"Meenah get back into the ocean right now!" she exclaimed, her voice hoarse, the rope was tightening round her neck.

"B-but ma-"

"Now gill! For once just do as I glubbin say!" the eldest yelled, coughing loudly and resting her forehead on the sand. The one known as Meenah looked torn between what to do. You were about to speak out to explain that you weren't going to harm them when someone beat you to it

"Meenah?!" Feferi yelled in shock, the first aid kit falling from her hands. The two trolls looked up instantly, the look of disbelief on their faces.

"Oh my god Fef!" Meenah all but shouted before sprinting across the sand and scooping the girl into her arms, hugging her tight. Feferi laughed, cuddling into the elder troll with translucent fuchsia tears in her eyes

"I thought I'd never sea you again!" Feferi said, her voice muffled by Meenah's top. Whilst the two were having a little reunion you took the chance to go over to the one stuck in the net and kneel down beside them. They hissed viciously at you when you pulled the pocket knife from your hoodie but you shook your head softly.
"
It's okay, I'll get you out just stay still" you murmured quietly, lifting the knife to cut up the rope from the troll. As you did so her blood began seeping over your hands and clothes and your assumptions were correct. This was Feferi's family.

You ignored the stare you got from presumably, Feferi's mother as you continued to cut her out of the net. It was more difficult when you got to the neck though, you did your best to cut the rope off, and it worked but her neck looked so sore when the rope was removed. It was flushed dark pink and her gills were inflamed, something that happened to Feferi when she got ill with a sore throat. You both stared at each other for a moment, watching as she sat up slowly

"why...the glub would a gill like you help me" she asked, her voice dripping in confusion. You were about to reply when you felt the front of your hoodie being grabbed and you were yanked up to Meenah's level. Despite being what seemed like a teenager she was certainly very strong

"now what the hell do you want gilly, were you the one who took my Fef?! she demanded, raising her fist to punch you in the face but the smallest seadweller stepped in

"Meenah no!" she squished between the two of you, hugging your legs

"she's been looking after me! she saved me from the guy that took me" she said sternly, stamping her foot down with her fins puffed out angrily. Meenah instantly let go, watching in surprise as you picked Feferi up and kissed her on the forehead

"well Fef? why don't you introduce me to your family?" you said happily. She gasped and scrambled from your grip, launching herself at her mother and hugging her tight

"mum I missed you!" she yelled, burying her face in her long hair. The eldest let out a massive yet shaky sigh of relief, wrapping her arms around her daughter

"never swim off like then again, ya hear?!" she exclaimed, kissing her on the nose. Feferi turned to you from her mother's lap and smiled

"Mama this is well uh...my mum! you can call her Condy though!" she chirped before pointing to Meenah

"and thats my sister Meenah! she wouldn't have tried to punch you if she knew who you were" Feferi said, giggling at Meenah's flustered expression. Condy sat up straight before getting up completely, stretching out her limbs and sighing in contentment.

"if what Fef says is true, then thank you gill" She said, her voice genuine. She walked over to you and gave you a kiss on the cheek, making your face heat up instantly

"ma what did we tell you about flirting with random gills?" Meenah groaned, looking embarrassed

"but yeah, thank you uh...(name) was it?" you nodded

"yeah...I dunno what we would've done if we didn't find this troublemaker" She said, ruffling up Feferi's hair. You smiled softly at the scene before you but frowned a little at what was said next

"I think you've overstayed your welcome gill, come on lets go home" Condy said, taking her daughter by the hand but Feferi hesitated, looking at you worriedly

"but what about mama?" she said quietly. Oh god you could already feel the lump in your throat.

"Fef you  need to be with your family.." you began slowly but she shook her head

"but you're my family too!" she exclaimed, tears already streaming down her cheeks. You sighed, you would not cry in front of her, that would make it worse.

"I mean your REAL family, your sister and your mother...it's for the best y'know?" you said carefully, watching as the little troll cried.

"you stay here and i'll get some of your things..." you said quietly, walking back to the hut and going into Feferi's room. You took a moment to look around.

You may have only been here for a month but just one glace brought back all the memories you had with the sweet little seadweller

"don't cry (name)..." you told yourself, packing only her favorite toy, her shell collection, her jewelry and a photo of the two of you at the aquarium.

You stopped for a moment to look at it. The two of you were grinning ear to ear with her favorite animal, the squid in the background. You shoved it quickly into the bag before you could burst into tears and went outside again. Meenah was crouched by Feferi, patting her back as she continued to cry.

Her mother looked so confused, why on earth would a human take her daughter in and treat her as one of her own? Handing the back to Meenah you crouched down to Feferi's level, giving her a grin

"now where's that lovely smile gone?" you said, brushing a couple tears from her eyes. She gave you a teary grin before hugging you tightly, which you returned

"I love you mama" she whispered, pulling back and taking her mother's hand. You watched from the shoreline as they entered the water, thank god that bag was waterproof.

Feferi took one last look at you before they submerged under the water.

Silence.

That what came after that. You stood for a few minutes, staring at the dark horizon before slumping away and returning to your house. You didn't bother to wash or get changed, instead you just flopped on the bed, hugging your pillow tight.

"..godammit" you said quietly, letting out a chocked sob and soon enough, you were bawling your eyes out for the rest of the night.

The light filtered through the blinds onto your face, making you frown. You sat up, still a little out of it as you rubbed your eyes. Swinging your feet over the bed you hoisted yourself up.

"Okay...just get ready and don't look to your right" you murmured, throwing some clothes on and brushing your hair. You left your room, refusing to look even at the door of Feferi's old room.

It had been three weeks since she left and you hadn't felt any better, at all. God you missed her so much. You slumped into the kitchen, making yourself some coffee and sitting down at the table. You downed the whole thing without noticing, just staring blankly out of the window. At any moment you expected to hear a quiet giggle and the patter of feet running down the hall to give you a hug.

You groaned, hiding your face in your hands and closing your eyes. This really wasn't healthy was it? God just get over it-

Knock knock

You frowned. Did you just hear that? nah it was probably your imagination...

...

KNOCKKNOCKKNOCKKNOCKKNOCKKNOCKKNOCKKNOCKKNOCKKNOCKKNOCKKNOCK

Sitting up straight you gazed at the door. Who the hell was that? With a sigh you got up from the chair and unlocked the door,swinging it open

"Look i'm not feeling great at the moment just-"

"mama!"

Your eyes snapped open wide. Staring in shock at the three seadwellers stood outside your door.

"F-Fef?!" you exclaimed, yelling in surprise as you were tackled down to the floor by the overexcited girl.

"I'm sorry I left you mama I missed you so much" she wailed, hugging you tight and refusing to let go. You were still in slight shock and didn't notice the tears beginning to well up in your eyes

"...mama?" Feferi repeated, gazing up at you. You quickly hugged her back, afraid she was going to disappear at any second

"You silly girl..." you said quietly, giving the girl a kiss to the forehead. Condy and Meenah stepped into the house looking around with grins on their faces

"you shoulda seen her, acting all sad cause'a you" Meenah said, leaning against the side of the wall. You looked up at Condy who was already staring at you, smiling you mouthed a 'thank you' before hugging the tiny seadweller once more.

Condy let a smile appear on her face, seeing her daughter so happy again couldn't help but brighten her mood too. Once you pulled away you grinned

"you three can stay as long as you want, Fef why don't you go pick something to eat? I should sort out where we can sleep" you said and she nodded eagerly, shooting up and grabbing her sister's arm. You went into your room and instantly began to sort out the duvets and pillows.

As you did so Condy slipped into the room, speaking out

"I gotta hand it to you (name), you're a lot different than other humans" she commented, making you smile

"I'm so happy she'd back again..she's like my own daughter. Oh I hope you don't mind that she calls me mama either!" you said happily. She shook her head, smirking a little as she sauntered over to your and peered down since she was so tall

"Not at all gill, she loves the fact that she has two mamas...even Meenah seemed up for it.  in fact..." she began, placing a hand on your shoulder

"that means we're together now, no going back on it" she said teasingly, brushing your cheek with her fuchsia colored lips. You blushed dark, trying to splutter out a response before Meenah crashed in the room

"MA YOU GOTTA TRY THIS FISH FINGERS THEY'RE GLUBBIN AMAZING"

yup, things were going to get a little more interesting....

gotta say i'm struggling for ideas for the other trolls storyline wise so it may be a while until another one of these is put up
